It's good to be back

Fingers crossed, my technical problems are behind me now. 2nd new laptop in 13 days and ready to really rock again.

While I've managed to make some progress still, my time has been spent 100% almost on sorting out technical problems, performing restores and archives over and over.

Funny thing though, on reading the exercise for today, "Stop the bleeding" I've noticed again that sometimes I just need to cut my losses and look at the quick solution which in this case should have been to take the new laptop back to the shop straight away and move on. Wasting my time on these problems has again took me away from tasks that put me into a good flow. Now some of it just can't be avoided but next time it would be better to know when to quit and move on as soon as possible.

It feels good to be able to read my excellence worksheets again and practice the exercises that feel more and more like I am creating good habits

I again feel focused again and ready to catch up on the last week of the mentorship starting with The Gatekeeper Strategy right now.

It again proves to me that when you are doing things that you love as part of your values that you do feel inspired and new ideas come flowing in.

Dell technical support could learn a thing or two about this!

The Gatekeeper

Who you gonna call when your client don't turn up.......GATEKEEPER

Dax took us through the Gatekeeper strategy in detail today and the place went SILENT

It is undoubtedly very scary part of the mentorship but has to be done if you truly want to be excellent.

One of my values is fun, pleasure, enjoyment, whatever you wanna call it.
What's worse than when a client calls last minute to rearrange. Once..not too bad but building up history of poor behaviour just takes the piss and the pleasure out of why we started this job in the first place.

I started doing this after Stamford and felt much better, if only for the fact my time was better managed and I could work on my biz a lot more.

I'll be doing more of the same but I need to double my efforts on implementing massive marketing to make up for the loss. You gotta eat and stay warm ;-)

Felt really good about excellence today
Continuing to practice via audio and workbook and coming up with more answers closer to my heart as I go on. Get more to grips with it each day and rewrote how I want my week to look in the future instead of being a bit too logical first go last week.

End result - great service today, really enjoyed the practical sessions I delivered that I haven't always done if I'm honest

Remember...
Practice excellence in every little thing you do and feel good about it.

Excellence continued

Nearly got my laptop up and running again, prectically need an IT department these days to get back to the status quo!

Nearly done and time to crack on with excellence tutorials. Be nice when this is out of the way and I'm doing things that have a bigger impact on my nusiness and the way I work.

Still been thnking of the whole excellence program and what I need to do. Have found it easier when I'm relaxed and in flow to think about the things that matter to me most and what values are most important to me.

Long way to go though and time to get things in writing and finish that first exercise. Can;t believe it's week 1 and I'm behind schedule! My new laptop will have me speeding along though and an important part of this situation was that I knew I was still doing something that is going to help me improve and perform better both on my business and in the mentorship.

Can't wait to go through the material again though!!!!!!!!

Key points for me (that I can think of right now)

  • Practice my excellence by looking to SURPRISE myself as to how I can be better.
  • Evertime I do something, how could I perform it better
  • Live in an environment that is excellent - clean, tidy, organised, simple
  • Gain pleasure in everything I do
  • Practice feeling of good flow to limit length of time spent in bad flow and prevent sabotage
  • Improve at least 1 thing each day in my business
